DNA is coordinated by Source, the leading developers and exporters of Southern African design to the global marketplace. Since 2003, husband-and-wife team Trevyn and Julian McGowan have been responsible for the majority of exports of Southern African design product to major retailers around the world, including the Conran shop, Anthropologie, West Elm, ABC Carpet and Home, Restoration Hardware and many others.

Trevyn and Julian are founders and directors of Southern Guild, the foremost collectable Design Gallery in South Africa, showcasing one-of-a-kind design pieces internationally at leading collectable design fairs like Design Miami, Design Days Dubai, and Collective.

They are also founders of the non-profit Southern Guild Design Foundation, established to galvanize and progress the South African design industry, and they are the co-ordinators of Design Network Africa.
